Dr. Pfister's Introduction to The Hawksbill Crag paints Civil War History with a wide brush of knowledge, providing the perfect setting for this story. Like the set designer for a movie, his written pictures propel the reader forward to join Captain Nelson Paintier as he takes his historic journey home to find redemption and to help cement the bonds for a United States of America.
